NextInput Introduces World’s Best Mobile Side Button Solutions

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA – May 17, 2017 – NextInput, Inc., the leading provider of ForceTouch™ solutions, introduces the first MEMS-based mobile side button module to expedite market adoption. Handset OEMs are differentiating their products with new seamless industrial designs, eliminating mechanical buttons. NextInput turnkey modules replace volume buttons and enable new features such as sliders and grip sensors that can be mapped to any application short cut.

NextInput solutions perform accurately over temperature and changing environmental conditions, have excellent RF immunity and much higher reliability. Alternate technologies, such as strain gauge, are hard to activate due to low sensitivity, eroding the user experience.
“We have introduced a turnkey drop-in module to replace side buttons in mobile devices,” says Ali Foughi, NextInput CEO and Founder. “Our solution can sense force through thick side walls and is extremely responsive, resulting in a superior user experience.”

NextInput started sampling its side button modules to OEMs this month. The module form factor can be customized to OEM specifications.
